Ergonomist/ Human Factors Engineer
Location: Derby
Rate: £500 - 550 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start: April
Duration: TBC - initially 3 days a week, with the opportunity for full time.
My Client is in the market for an Ergonomist/ Human Factors Engineer to come on board and undertake Ergonomic Analysis on driver cabs and other areas of locomotives.
They ideal Ergonomist/ Human Factors Engineer should have the following skills:
- A "can-do", pro-active, resourceful, problem solving attitude is essential
- Excellent communication skills is essential.
- Excellent customer facing skills to resolve issues and manage stakeholders
- Excellent report writing skills.
- The role requires close working with Mechanical design engineers therefore some familiarity with SolidWorks or equivalent would be useful.
- Knowledge of Railway Group Standards, Ergonomic best practice, HSE, Occupational Hazards
- Sammie-CAD, JACK, Human CAD tool or equivalent experience. (expected to provide and use own tool)
Experience
- Minimum of 4/5 years' experience of working within integrated project design teams with full lifecycle experience
- Ergonomics/Industrial design/Human Factors degree, not essential, as experience will be considered
