Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Resource Coordinator to join our Major Projects business covering our operations in the Crewe & London North West areas. Based in Crewe the key duties will include;

  • Production and management of employee rosters to allow cost effective utilisation of the resource in liaison with the project staff in order to meet the resource levels and skills required by the workload as directed in the planning meeting and in accordance with relevant employment terms and conditions.
  • Allocation of Training and Competence courses and arranging efficient release of staff in accordance with rosters.
  • Liaise with Agency Suppliers on a weekly basis to address any shortfalls of manpower requirements.
  • Maintain supplier database and update accordingly to allow selective sourcing of future manpower requirements.
  • Undertake general office administration duties including control of all mail, co-ordinating diaries, processing and maintaining personnel records including vulnerable assets such as mobile telephones; make necessary returns.
  • Arrange travel, hotels and vehicles, and order and control Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the team.
  • Provide other administrative support as delegated by the Operations Manager.

Job Requirements

You will be self-motivated with a pro-active approach and have experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. Problem solving, communication and good interpersonal skills are a key requirement for this role. The candidate will also ideally have the following experience/skill set:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is a requirement.
  • Experience in the rail and/or construction industry would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • A minimum of 3 GCSE’s grade A-C including English and Maths.
  • Flexible/proactive – can do attitude who shows initiative to support others.
  • Knowledge of all rostering arrangements.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage work to meet varying deadlines.
  • Full driving licence
