Resource Coordinator - TRUe Alliance (East of Leeds)

Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Resource Coordinator to join the TRUe Alliance project team responsible for Project One enabling works through to GRIP 5-8 stages. Reporting to the Resource Manager for the Alliance this position is initially based in Ulleskelf but will move to premises at East of Leeds Airport.

The mission of the Alliance is to transform the East of Leeds route allowing people to travel faster, more reliably and in greater comfort between the North's great cities. Providing passengers with more choice, more seats and better facilities on a safer, cleaner, more environmentally friendly railway.

Within a demanding multi-disciplinary environment, optimum resource utilisation is key to maintaining business profitability and this role will support the Resource Manager in ensuring that this can be achieved.

Job Requirements

The role will include:

• Responsible for ensuring the rostering of resource requirements in accordance with terms and conditions of employment, including stipulated timescales to ensure contractual requirements (work programme) are delivered.
• Responsible for ensuring that the rosters are developed in accordance with the relevant HSQE policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Responsible for managing the allocation of hours and weekend shifts ensuring correct utilisation of available resource.
• Responsible for the inputting of all training, annual leave and sickness shifts/hours into the relevant business systems.
• Establish and maintain robust communication within the project team and across resource and supply chain coordinators in each business.
• Liaise with agency suppliers on a weekly basis to address any shortfalls of resource requirements.
• Provide support with data analysis and production of reports associated with the planning and utilisation of staff

The successful candidate will:

• Be able to demonstrate and provide evidence of experience in a similar role within rail/ construction related industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint etc)
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication, literacy and interpersonal skills
• Experience of producing work for a team of people juggling competing priorities
• Flexible/proactive - can do attitude who shows initiative to support others
