Resource Coordinator in Nottingham, Nottingham, United Kingdom
AECOM is the premier infrastructure consultancy in the world, we are actively searching for a Resource Coordinator to look after the staff resourcing at AECOM work sites. This is a fully rounded role, including management of people, safety and project gates, as well as developing and building robust relationships with clients and internal peers. This role can be based UK wide.
The Asset Management Group (AMG), who are managed nationally out of our Nottingham Asset Management Centre of excellence, deliver a range of inspection, survey, investigation and asset management consultancy services to a growing internal and external market. The asset management teamwork in multiple sectors and have a strong capability in transportation, environment and buildings and places, with regional teams in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Ashford and Swindon.
Role Purpose:
To assist in safe delivery of surveys as directed by the Head of MDSM, including operational delivery and Health & Safety. The post holder shall be responsible for managing staff resourcing and the resource process associated with delivery of AECOM siteworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote strong safety culture among the site teams
- Creating the resource sheet and pulling through shifts and planned works from the database for each NR calendar week
- Participate in safety meetings as appropriate and contribute to continuous improvement
- Dealing with resource requests in a timely manner from other parts of the AECOM business
- Manage the process of resourcing internal safety staff a minimum of 3 weeks out from planned shift dates
- Ensure that all access and deliverables are on time
- Attending weekly resource meetings
- Manage the process of ordering required subcontractors for AECOM works
- Manage the process of updating the resource sheets with any changes
- Raising any issues with subbies to the relevant PM for action
- Raising any subby requests for additional hrs, travel time, hotels with relevant PM prior to approval
- Manage the issuing of resource sheets
- Manage the subby invoicing process
- Work closely with internal Client team to discuss resource requirements
- Managing and working with various AECOM approved supply chains
Minimum Requirements

- Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels – Clients, Industry peers, Designers, Sub-Contractors, Temporary Visitors, Surveyors
- Demonstrate previous experience in this role
- Strong IT knowledge with familiarity with Microsoft Excel / Word
- Railway experience (Personal Track Safety competent) essential
