Salary: £40,000.00 - £51,211.00 Per Annum

We are currently undertaking an exciting transformational project which will result in Glasgow Subway being one of the most advanced transport systems in Europe. The first new Subway trains are now arriving in Glasgow and work on modernising our signalling and control systems continues at pace.
This is your opportunity to be part of the future of Subway, and to play a key role in helping us to deliver, maintain and operate the first full Unattended Train Operation (UTO) system in the UK.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Information and Systems Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, and leading a small team, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Subway asset management strategy, including the supporting systems and planning, to ensure the safety, integrity and optimisation of the assets across their life-cycle.
You will also lead the development of the engineering and maintenance quality management system to support the continuous improvement of the service delivered to our customers.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of whole life asset management and maintenance management and quality systems and principles. You will have the capability to create and implement effective processes and also be able to manage and organise complex information and data.
You should have experience of working in a safety critical environment across a large volume of assets and systems, and you will be a self-motivated individual who can drive improvements across the organisation’s asset management strategy, asset plans and quality management system.
You will work in collaboration with Asset Engineers, Maintenance teams, suppliers and modernisation project teams. Strong management, communication and motivational skills are essential.
Full time hours will be 35 hours per week however you may be required to attend out of hours to meet operational demands. This may include attendance during weekend and night shift and to participate in an on-call roster.
