Ewi, the market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is very proud to be partnering with Rail Baltica to provide staffing support for the 670km High speed passenger and freight line linking Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia (and indirectly Finland) to the European network via Poland.

Opportunity:

As part of the organisation Rail Baltica are requiring a GIS Specialist, (geographic information system) to join the organistaion and be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the existing GIS content and assisting other GIS team members in their daily tasks, such as: data collection and processing, data conversion, development of web GIS maps and mobile applications.

Responsibilities:

The successful expert shall be working as part of an International Team. Duties of the role shall include:

• Transfer/convert data from CAD formats (e.g. dwg) to standard GIS formats
• Transfer/convert data from MS Office Applications (mostly MS Excel) to standard GIS formats.
• Work closely with other GIS team members and help them manage GIS platforms (ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online) and content
• Create new and maintain existing GIS web maps and web applications (dashboards, story maps, etc.).

Key requirements for the role:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in GIS technology, Geomatics, Environmental science, Civil Engineering, or other discipline related to GIS. Can be a final year student
• 3+ years' experience of ArcGIS (Esri)
• Sufficient experience using ArcGIS Pro software
• Experience using ArcGIS Enterprise/ArcGIS Online is desired
• Experience using Esri Web and mobile apps will be considered as an advantage
• Sufficient experience using Autodesk software (AutoCAD)
• Experience working with BIM and 3D data will be considered as an advantage
• High ethical standards, honesty, and impeccable reputation

Language:

Fluency in English writing and communication

Salary Package:

The freelance rate for this assignment is to be confirmed taking into account taxation, living cost and allowances.
