Associate Structures Engineer/Structures Team Lead
My client, a leading multinational organisation, are searching for an individual to join their Glasgow team in a Senior Management position to lead their Building Structures Team. Although stepping into a large organisation, the team is still a small and developing, so it would be a great opportunity for someone to experience large-scaled projects, whilst still having a tailored and personalised working environment.
The successful candidate must have experience in leading and managing teams, as well as preferable experience in multidisciplinary projects.
The Glasgow team work with local community and international schemes, and would be involved in the health, education, rail, defence, energy, sports and water sectors with projects often being budgeted at above the £10m mark. In the role, you will be undertaking day to day management and coordination of the team in line with projects, and helping develop junior staff to fulfil their goals and progress their career. Furthermore, you will also have the opportunity to have a client-facing experience, and would be expected to develop a client base, work with existing clients, and help win new work.
Job description:
- Be Chartered or have an equal status
- Be experienced in leading and developing a team
- Have experience with multidisciplinary projects and coordinating with other team members
- Have experience in key design software (such as Robot, Revit, Tedds, Tekla, Etabs etc)
- Have some experience in a client-facing positions, winning work and providing business development
- Ability to manage budgets and deadlines for large and small scaled projects
This is a permanent vacancy with a large, well-established consultancy who are searching for a Structures Team Lead or Associate Engineer to join their Glasgow team. This would be a great opportunity for someone in the Edinburgh, Stirling or Kilmarnock regions.
In line with Covid guidelines, the consultancy is offering a flexible working policy with the requirement of two office visits a week due to the nature of the management position.
