They have a successful track record of delivering projects across the whole of the UK; working with Network Rail, London Underground as well as light rail and tram operating companies to enhance the national infrastructure.

Their Businesses has the resources and expertise to undertake a wide variety of rail-based design, development and construction projects. These projects encompass the Signalling, Power and Communications sectors within mainline railways and urban mass transit systems in the UK & Ireland.

Job Summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager with either a signalling or a systems bias to join our team working on a Freight Capacity Scheme. The position is based on site in between Greater Manchester and Yorkshire area but you will be required to travel to other locations.

You will be responsible for the provision of designs, technical advice and guidance on the joint venture project. As a key member of the team you will ensure engineering excellence is achieved throughout the life cycle of the project, from pre contract tender input through design and implementation phases through to handover to the client. You will also manage yourself effectively to deliver against agreed plans and budgets.

Job Requirements

With prior experience of acting as a Network Rail CRM, you will have gained significant demonstrable experience working within signalling and/or systems. You will possess a ‘can-do’ attitude, excellent organisational ability and have working knowledge of Railway interfaces and practices.

An HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering is an essential requirement for this role. Chartered membership of the Institute of Electrical or Civil Engineers is desirable.
