Samuel Knight International's Rail business are delighted to be recruiting, on an exclusive basis, this key position. The successful candidate will join one of the worlds leading infrastructure companies, and play a leading role in the delivery of the UK's biggest ever infrastructure project.

We are seeking candidates with a background as a Quantity Surveyor, holding around 10 years post-graduate experience, who are ready to step into this major role. Ideally candidates will have already worked for principal contractors, or on infrastructure projects with consultancies, as part of Rail delivery works.

Candidates with experience in commercial management positions on Rail electrification programmes would be especially interesting.

Some of the key duties of this role will be:

• Post-contract management of financials to deliver cost management and a healthy cash stream throughout the works
• Establishing the process and managing thereafter, the process of payments payable and payments due.
• Working with senior project stake holders to provide clear overview of finance as an ongoing concern
• Attendance and participation of project leadership meetings
• Oversight on potential issues, participation in solving any commercial disputes
• Working in a collaborative manner , with internal colleagues and those of our clients Joint Venture partners

The successful candidate will bring the following experience into this role:

• Prior exposure to significant civil, rail or general construction projects in a similar position
• Previous JV experience would be advantageous
• A generous amount of experience in commercial management of major infrastructure projects
• Managing KPI's , experienced in change management, risk management and the implementation of financial strategies
