Senior Tunnelling Specialist (Highways) - Armenia

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is seeking an experience Senior Tunnelling Specialist for an ongoing Highway/ Road project close to a major city in Armenia.

Opportunity:

The role would would be working with one of the worlds leading firms providing the Technical expertise and guidance for all elements of Tunnelling on the challenging transportation scheme. The project consists of significant sections of Tunnels and bridges and will be working through both Soft Soil & Hard Rock terrain. The project is using NATM techniques.

Responsibilities:

The successful individual shall be responsible for providing Technical Guidance & Reports relating to all aspects of the tunnels. These will include resolving technical issues, providing accurate schedules which shall be provided to the end client as well as monitoring the contractors progress. You shall be supported by Geotechnical specialists as well as other locally based expertise and work very closely with the Project Manager to ensure a successful conclusion.

Key responsibility of the role shall include:

• Managing and monitoring contractors,
• Resolving Technical issues
• Ensuring Standards and Safety is maintained
• Compile regular progress reports.

Key requirements for the role:

• Graduate Civil Engineer (or related subject)
• 20+ years of tunnelling experience
• 10+ years' experience of Highway Tunnelling projects
• Experience NATM techniques
• Regional experience would be beneficial

Language:

Fluency in English writing and communication

Salary Package:

The salary package is flexible depending on experience but would be expected to be in the region of €10-12,000 per month plus expatriate package
