Occupational Health Lead - HS2 in Crewe, Cheshire, United Kingdom

JOB TITLE: Occupational Health Lead - HS2
LOCATION: Crewe
SALARY: £450 Per Day (Umbrella)
HOURS: 42 Hours Per Week - Monday - Friday

THE CLIENT
My client is a multinational infrastructure group who are currently recruiting for a Occupational Health Lead for a project in Crewe. This role will fall within IR35 so we are unable to recruit any candidates who wish to be paid via a Ltd company.

THE ROLE
* To support the HS2 Project in achieving its vision of everyone treating Health like Safety
* To provide Occupational Health (OH) expertise in order to develop an industry leading occupational health strategy and service
* Develop and implement the Health & Wellbeing strategy
* As a member of the HSES team support the development and implementation of all health and safety policies and strategies as approved by the BB board, with closely with other HSES professionals.
* As a manager you will lead by example to:
* Ensure a personal relentless focus on Zero Harm and proactively lead the project deliver positive economic, social and environmental outcomes
* Live the company values & personally demonstrate the Leadership Behaviours
* Work with helping to control costs and effectively manage budgets
* Work with the business to eEnsure the project complies with all Regulations and Company Policies and Processes
* Develop and maintain a highly effective occupational health plan for HS2 that is in line with the Zero Harm strategy that maintains a high standard of occupational health and medical provision available to the workforce, that both meets the statutory needs, but goes beyond this to ensure commitment from all areas of the business to support healthy and successful working lives.
* To develop, establish and with managers, monitor a robust occupational surveillance programme to demonstrate the achievement of defined exposure limits and meet statutory requirements
* To develop, implement and maintain a well-being strategy that engages the workforce to enable positive behavioural health changes.
* Manage and monitor outsourced OH services to deliver a successful OH and wellbeing strategy/service through the design and construction phases of the project.
* To provide expertise to the project team to eliminate, mitigate and manage hazards which could cause, disease, illness or negative impact
* Work with colleagues to ensure adequate support and advice is provided to all office, design and construction teams to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
* Working with the business, develop and maintain training packages to ensure operational personnel with health responsibilities have the necessary skills and competencies.

ABOUT YOU
* NMC registered Nurse
* Able to demonstrate continuing professional development
* Experience of managing outsourced OH provision
* Must have working knowledge of managerial reports
* Experienced in given presentations. presentations.
* Highly developed communication and influencing skills
* Understanding of the legal requirements, hierarchy of controls and principles of health risk management
* Experience in the development and delivery of training

Desirable:
* Health & Safety Qualification
* Relevant Construction Industry experience
* Occupational Health Qualification
