Ticketing Technical Lead - UAE

Location: Dubai, UAE

Reports To: Project Manager

Overview: The Ticketing Technical Lead will oversee and ensure the compliance of systems delivered by vendors at the public transport operator level (ticket vending machines, validators, etc.) for various transportation modes (bus, metro, tram, etc.). This role is essential for maintaining technical compliance and ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise project delivery to ensure technical compliance with client requirements and contracts.
  • Lead vendor management efforts, identifying and prioritising technical issue resolution.
  • Prepare technical documentation and recommendations for the client.
  • Support the team and client in developing the migration plan.
  • Ensure seamless integration with the overall ABT central system implementation program.
  • Assist the client during the vendor selection process.
  • Review and validate technical design methodologies, feasibility studies, and project outputs.
  • Supervise installation and testing processes.
  • Assist in preparing Take Over Certification documentation.
  • Conduct post-launch supervision and provide technical support to the client on issues such as obsolescence.
  • Support the Project Management team in preparing project status reports and technical materials for executive review meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the ticketing industry, with significant exposure in developed countries.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with ABT and open-loop projects, from design to commissioning stages.
  • Proven experience in upgrading/migrating existing AFC systems.
  • Extensive technical knowledge and hands-on experience with ticketing systems, including ABT technology, open-loop, card-based ticketing, and QR code systems.
  • Fluent in English.
