HVAC / Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer in Manchester, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom
Rullion have an opportunity for a HVAC / Air Conditioning Engineer to work with a high profile Rolling Stock company based out of Central Manchester. The suitable applicant must have an electrical qualification or a dual skilled qualification with FGAS or HVAC Qualification.
The role will be the maintenance of the HVAC units on the High Speed Trains that run from London to Glasgow. (Experience of trains is not essential)
Hours and Shift Patterns:
Monday to Friday Mornings and Late Afternoons over a split 6 week roster:
07:00 14:30 hours
14:00 21:30 hours
Paying Umbrella Payment Option:
£24.36 per hour - First 12 weeks.
£29.24 per hour - After 12 weeks.
*PAYE is also an option.
Qualifications Required:
Time served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent with associated technical qualifications (City & Guilds, SVQ, NVQ) or recognised equivalent.
HVAC or associated qualification.
Experience Required:
Rolling Stock preferred, however will consider Aerospace, HGV, Transport, Shipbuilding, Military Engineering or Heavy Plant.
Purpose of Role:
To work as a member of a team to service within an Workshop and around locomotives to maintain, repair and overhaul rolling stock and equipment, including the latest generation in train technology to laid down specifications. As part of a team, ensure that the fleet is serviced and maintained in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner whilst constantly seeking to improve quality.
Working alongside the existing team overhauling off train components including but not exhaustive.
* Wiper motors
* Pan head overhaul
* Wiper arm repairs
* Door button repairs
* Pantograph repairs and testing
Responsibilities:
Work as directed by and in co-operation with the Production Manager, will comply with:
* All depot protection procedures
* Understand and abide to safety notices, rules and regulations and follow safe working practices, H & S.A.W. and C.O.S.H.H.
* Will adhere to and work within Quality Systems to the current standard.
* Work as part of a team, complete or assist in any of the team's activities to ensure work is completed on time to specification.
