The Role
We provide a service to meet the aspirations and needs of our rail clients. Our past delivery to these clients have allowed us to build a track record of delivering an innovative, professional and reliable service. We are looking for asset management specialist to provide quality technical guidance, manage/deliver projects/commissions, build lasting relationships with our clients and support the business development activities.


Our asset management specialists work across a varied portfolio of work that includes helping clients in the development of strategies, business cases / sponsoring projects, advising on developing digital Asset Management tools, evolving asset management business processes. We seek to ensure our clients are maximising the value of their assets within their constraints.


In line with our successful growth and further project work in the pipeline we need new asset management specialists for our London office with right combination of technical, consulting and people skills paired with relevant experience. As an ambitious and collaborative individual you will be given the freedom and support to play a key part in the growth of the team.

Requirements and skills
Technical - Rail Asset Management

Experience of practicing Asset Management principles
Experience of programme sponsorship of a variety of sized projects
Recent, experience in the Rail and or transportation sector, preferably of both strategy-focused and operational roles.
Evidence of asset management specialist input to a wider team.

Technical - Consulting
Experience in delivering asset management and business improvement initiatives within Rail and other relevant sectors. It is desirable that some of any such experience be gained in a consulting setting.
Appreciation of developments of technology can evolve how the practice of asset management is undertaken now and, in the future.
Evidence of business development activities to win work
Understand, resolve and communicate (to a variety of stakeholders) complex technical issues.

Technical - Project/Programme
Excellent project management and delivery skills, including financial, change and risk management.
Strong analytical skills, including an ability to analyse and draw insight from business data.
Appreciation of how change and organisational development can be undertaken.
Evidence of methodological and creative approach to problem solving and decision-making.

Education:

  • Working towards a relevant chartership and membership of a professional body.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Working towards Accredited project manager
  • Institute of Asset Management Certification or Diploma

People Skills

  • Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders (e.g. Board Members).
  • Highly self-motivated / self-starter. Able to work autonomously
  • Excellent communicator (verbal and written)
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Comfortable working to client deadlines and managing their expectations.
