Asset Manager / Change Manager (HS2) in Birmingham, United Kingdom

Role: Asset Manager / Change Manager (HS2)
Location: Snowhill Station, Birmingham
Salary: £47,000 - £59,000
Benefits: 20% additional package to be taken as additional salary or variety of benefits

I am looking to place an Asset Manager in HS2s Birmingham office. The role is to support the current, and develop integration of new, Strategic Asset Management Plans, Information Management Strategies and Asset Information Management Systems to conform to British and internal HS2 standards. The requirements for the role are split into three distinct skillsets: Asset Management, Change Management and Project/Programme Management.

This role is not to start developing an Asset Management System from scratch, but rather to support development of a new integrated solution for the business and oversee its implementation to ensure that the journey between now and 2025 is a smooth one. HS2 currently has around 60 different processes for various parts of the business and you will manage the streamlining of processes to ensure usability and adoption from current and future teams.

This is a strategic, long-term role. You will be given control of a team of Asset Managers and Change Managers to integrate and develop new systems of working, whilst ensuring compliance with ISO 55000. For the next 2 years, your role will incorporate development of these Asset Management Systems with the role then transforming to ensure that the developments you have made are fully embedded in the business over the longer term. Beyond your technical experience within physical / data asset management, you will also be a strong communicator and stakeholder manager, able to ensure that the systems you have developed are taken up company-wide by stakeholders at all levels.

Due to the nature of assets you may come from any background in Asset Management. Indeed, this role will cover both physical and data assets and you will be well-versed in dealing with both. Whilst knowledge of the Rail industry is useful, any individuals with the relevant background, knowledge and long-term commitment capable of supporting the future vision of HS2 are encouraged to apply. This role is primarily based in Birmingham but some travel to HS2s London office is to be expected.
