As a Business Change Manager your main responsibilities would be:
This Business Change Manager role is situated within the Strategic Change Management Office (SCMO) that sits within the IT Services department. The SCMO is responsible for support and delivery of IT Services key programmes and change initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
- Design, own and deliver IT business change implementation strategies for business change projects across IT Services
- Lead in making sure that the end to end business change activities including strategy, planning, communication and training, are understood and built into the business change programme/project plans whilst leading compliance with company processes and procedures.
- Create and implement stakeholder management strategies and influence internal and external stakeholders of the agenda for change.
- Develop and enhance the Change Network capability within IT Services to enable the network to support change implementation.
- Manage the projects communications and engagement as required, identifying and initiating any requirements for campaigns to expedite the embedding of business change
- Develop and manage relationships with both the business community and stakeholders to support the development of projects
- Control project change and risks on business change tasks, and provide all costs, contingency and programme details to enable the sponsor to direct change strategy and engagement.
- Lead the team’s Business Change specialists where necessary
- Lead the formulation and transition of plans and business readiness, liaising with the relevant business functions and multiple stakeholders.
- Provide input and continuous review of the benefits realisation plan
- Undertake and own lessons learned as required.
Essentials and Desirables
Essential
- Experience of delivering end to end business change on a large scale
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Effective interpersonal skills and an ability to use influence to gain buy in to enable change to happen through others
- Experience in creating and managing Change Networks
- Demonstrated credibility and impact with senior stakeholders
- A drive to deliver tangible outcomes which meet business requirements
- An ability to work well under pressure in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Change Management accreditation.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Network Rail and the Rail Industry
- Consultancy or business transformation programme management experience
- Evidence of working in several different functions in a business change role
- Experience of creating and managing SharePoint sites
- Experience of working across business functions to deliver £multi-million business benefits.
- Experience of managing people in a change resistant and complex business environment.
- PM accreditation - PRINCE2, APMP and Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner
