Community Liaison Advisor

An opportunity has arisen to join VolkerRail on the prestigious EWR Phase 2 programme.

The East West Rail Alliance is a “pure” alliance consisting of three Non-Owner Participants (NOPs); VolkerRail, Atkins Global, Laing O’Rourke and the Owner Participant (OP), Network Rail.

East West Rail (EWR) phase 2 programme is in excess of one billion pounds and one of the most prestigious projects in the UK Infrastructure pipeline. It will provide a strategic route linking key centres of economic activity between Oxford, Milton Keynes, Aylesbury and Bedford.

Job Summary

The Community Liaison Advisor will proactively organise and manage community engagement for the EWR Alliance, working closely with local communities, businesses and stakeholders to deliver a first class, professional customer service.

The Community Liaison Advisor will be responsible for communicating all works which may affect local stakeholders, involving consultation with Logistics Manager, Construction Manager and all Project Managers. Management of Commitments made with stakeholders during Public Enquiry/Consultation, including agreeing access and programme to undertake works, liaison with relevant Package Manager/Construction manager to ensure works are scoped and delivered in accordance with agreements made.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following experience/skill set:

Expected

• Experience of planning and delivering proactive customer engagement
• Experience in customer services or complaints management
• Experience of customer management systems
• Ability to prioritise
• Impeccable telephone manner and strong writing skills
• Excellent time management skills

Preferred

• Construction industry experience

Location

Bletchley, Buckinghamshire; with a requirement to travel to other sites.
