Role
This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of an energetic team of three, working to deliver our client’s ambitious equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) aspirations across recruitment, procurement and culture. We’re looking for someone with previous EDI experience to enhance our existing training and engagement plan, maintain our external EDI accreditation and support the team to use data to evaluate our EDI strategy.
You will have the opportunity to plan and implement innovative EDI programs, work closely with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to achieving an inclusive culture in our sites and offices across London.
As part of the wider Social Sustainability team, you will be part of a collaborative group of people sharing expertise and supporting one another to ensure that our London Tunnels project leaves a lasting positive legacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate an EDI Training and Engagement Plan covering topics such as recruitment, leadership, procurement, and culture to ensure all staff – in our offices and on site - how EDI is relevant to our works. Prepare and deliver presentations and workshops to staff, stakeholders and supply chain.
- Design and implement a process to investigate and respond to EDI observations reported via our health & safety system, engaging with onsite health and safety, behavioural and HR teams.
- Identify opportunities to collaborate our four staff networks to ensure activities enhance our EDI strategy and overall workplace culture.
- Project manage diversity and inclusion initiatives across the project, with a focus on our sites and offices in West London.
- Support the EDI team to evaluate the success of the EDI strategy by reviewing trends in our recruitment and procurement data and signpost where improvements are required. This information is stored on PowerBI.
- Maintain our Disability Confident Leader (Level 3) accreditation.
Required experience:
- Use of data to evaluate and improve culture and change programs (EDI change programs desirable).
- Project managing external accreditations or benchmarks across a complex organization.
- Designing and implementing processes which impact multiple stakeholders.
- Investigating and responding to sensitive EDI issues.
- End-to-end experience of planning, implementing, and evaluating EDI initiatives in a head office and operational environment.
- Experience working with staff networks.
Required skills:
- Initiative to see where improvements are required, and able to quickly identify and adopt lessons learnt.
- Focused on results - ability to project manage and evaluate key diversity and inclusion initiatives. Organized and able to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders (for example, HR, procurement, employee networks, health, safety and wellbeing).
- A team player with the ability to work closely with the wider team to collaborate to deliver results.
- Experienced using Microsoft Office, and ideally PowerBI.
