Lead the delivery of a Framework / Portfolio of projects in line with expected SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality), Commercial, and Client operational and relationship objectives, whilst seeking and developing new opportunities. Manage, support and provide development opportunities for all employees.
Key Tasks / Technical Competencies
- Demonstrate a consistently high standard of SHEQ leadership and behaviour.
- Allocate SHEQ and Technical responsibilities and duties for all site personnel, check understanding of responsible individuals and where applicable provide training requirements as necessary to ensure compliance & assurance on all projects.
- Ensure all Company initiatives and directives are communicated and implemented as required, including arranging and delivering briefings, workshops, stand downs, etc.
- Ensure you and all your project teams undertake regular Site Engagement / Inspections in line with the company requirement ensuring inclusion / involvement of both direct employees and subcontractors.
- Monitor and support ‘close out’ and implementation of all internal and external audit actions and recommendations.
- Manage Client, Stakeholder and internal business relationships to achieve positive outcomes.
- Liaise with client’s representatives to ensure client key objectives / priorities and requirements are clearly identified, understood, managed and delivered.
- Control the “close-out” of contracts to ensure that all activities and deliverables are completed in accordance with the Contract and to the client’s satisfaction.
- Proactive promotion of the Company and its capabilities to clients, including the development of an appropriate contact network.
- Identification of business development opportunities and ensuring that any such opportunities are communicated and proactively progressed in conjunction with the appropriate Operations and Business Development Executive / Director.
- Overall management of multiple contracts demonstrating the ability to delegate and prioritise time and focus on critical business objectives, along with providing support and direction to individuals and project teams.
- Review and challenge the operational and support teams to ensure they are working consistently in accordance with the requirements of the Terms and Conditions of the Contract, and the Policies and Procedures contained within the company Business Management System.
- Ensure that subcontractors are correctly commercially engaged and follow the company procedures and processes where applicable. Review and authorise subcontract orders.
- Full participation in all aspects of enquiry and project processes including pre-qualification, tendering and estimating, design, contract negotiation, contract delivery and close out.
- Work closely with the commercial team to review commercial performance and ensuring timely applications for payment, receipt of payment certificates / cash and monitoring certs in transit and WIP, and minimising outstanding change / under measure across all projects. Also ensure that project spend forecasts are regularly updated to an appropriate degree of accuracy.
- Contribute to Business Unit Annual and 3-5 Year Budget Plans / Forecasts and ensure associated actions to achieve are completed.
