Risk Management Expert - Rail Project in Egypt

EWI are supporting a leading international consultancy firm is seeking a highly experienced Risk Management Expert for a major rail project in Egypt. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a large-scale infrastructure development, working alongside industry leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing risk management frameworks: Establish risk assessment procedures to identify, evaluate, and prioritise potential project risks.
• Conducting risk analysis: Analyse project data to anticipate and mitigate risks related to design, construction, and operational phases.
• Project controls management: Collaborate with project teams to ensure risk management aligns with overall project controls, including cost estimating, progress monitoring, and scheduling.
• Risk reporting: Prepare regular risk reports, including detailed mitigation strategies, and present them to project stakeholders.
• Facilitating risk workshops: Conduct workshops with project teams to promote awareness and understanding of potential risks and mitigation strategies.
• Coordination with stakeholders: Engage with project owners, contractors, and consultants to ensure all parties are informed and prepared to address project risks.
• Monitoring and updating risk registers: Continuously update the risk register throughout the project life cycle, ensuring that new risks are identified and managed proactively.
• Compliance and safety: Ensure all risk management activities comply with legal and safety standards, safeguarding the project and personnel.
• Documenting risk controls: Maintain detailed records of all risk management procedures, controls, and results for audit and review purposes.

Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of overall professional experience, with at least 7 years specifically in railway projects as a Risk Manager.
• Strong consultancy background, with a proven track record of delivering risk management services within the consultancy sector.
• In-depth knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies, and tools within large rail infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and influence stakeholders.

Package:

• Salary: $12,000 USD gross per month (tax applicable, circa 27%)

Additional Information:

• Working Days: Saturday to Thursday.
• Annual Leave: 30 calendar days per year (subject to client's approval and workload).

  • Mobilisation/Demobilisation: Economy airfare tickets (single status).
  • Reimbursement for personal item mobilisation
  • Temporary hotel accommodation for the first 15 days.
  • Medical Insurance: 100% coverage for single employees
  • Visa, work permit, and residence permit costs are covered.
  • Vacation: 30 calendar days of paid vacation per year, plus public holidays.
