A Tier 1 contractor well known for work on prestigious Highways projects are looking for somebody to join their team as a Senior Bid Manager. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Project Manager, or Project manager who is keen to develop more in Bid Management.

This role will require somebody to install strong leadership within the team to ensure deadlines are met and information obtained.

Job Duties:

As Senior Bid Manager you will be in charge of coordinating the overall bid submission process and developing a bid win strategy to maximise chances of winning projects at commercial sustainable rates. Day to day you will –

• Develop submission in line with the bid requirement
• Agree and manage the bid budget and have the financial element fully detailed and agreed.
• Have full coordination and leadership of the bid team
• Detailed assessment of the bid deliverables
• Produce bid submission matrixes identifying individual responsibilities for every section
• Produce and agree the bid programme identifying key dates for the submission of information, review dates, deadlines, and production of the bid
• Coordinate the formatting of the document with the submission team
• Monitor receipt of information from authors against the submission matrix and ensure information is received on time
• Arrange, attend, and chair bid team meetings, preparing meeting agendas, issuing updates and clarifications to the bid team
• Complete and update the bid pursuit plan
• Contribute to the drafting of text for the submission

Ideal Candidate:

This company are ideally looking for a Senior Operational figure or Project manager who has worked with tendering and technical submissions for Highways projects and is keen to get into Bid management.

It is essential that you’re a strong leader and communicator to be able to demand results and meet deadlines.

Applications will only be considered if you have:

• HND/HNC/BSc Minimum
• Technical bidding experience
• Strong background working on Civils Highways Projects on either a local authority or Highways England basis
