I am currently working for a global market leading Engineering Consultancy who are currently recruiting for a Senior EIA Consultant in their London office. Would you like to join an independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists offering a broad range of professional services. The impact assessment team form part of the Environmental Consulting business, which comprises teams covering a range of environmental specialisms. The team have expertise in environmental impact assessment (EIA), strategic environmental assessment (SEA), health impact assessment (HIA), integrated impact assessment (IIA), environmental and social due diligence (ESDD), preliminary environmental appraisals, feasibility studies and contribution to guidance documents

My client is looking for an experienced Senior EIA consultant, with an excellent understanding of the UK planning and consents process and with a strong track record in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and management of a wide range of projects.

You will be responsible for:

• Delivering environmental impact assessment projects - this will involve managing the assessment process and technical teams and reviewing all technical inputs
• Undertaking strategic assessment for Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Integrated Impact Assessment (IIA) of plans and policies
• Undertaking environmental and sustainability appraisals

Skills/Experience required for the role:

• Environmental impact assessment (EIA)
• Policy assessment (Integrated Impact Assessment, Strategic Environmental Assessment, Sustainability Appraisal)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working on multiple tasks and projects at any one time
• Have a proven ability to project manage environmental projects, successfully managing teams of technical specialists and multi-disciplinary teams
• Be chartered or close to achieving chartership
