Senior Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Expert - Egypt High Speed Rail

EWI recruitment specialists are supporting a leading European consultancy and are requiring a Senior Electromagnetic Compatibility Expert for the Egypt High-Speed Rail

This is a senior position and requires detailed knowledge of EMC experience on major railway rolling stock and infrastructure projects.

Position Duties/Responsibilities:

• Aiding the delivery of the project by providing expert advice on Electromagnetic Compatibility issues to the project and directly to the client as required.
• Advising on critical EMC issues for Rolling Stock and Infrastructure elements of railway projects including Control Systems, Propulsion Systems, Electrical Machines, Current collection and distribution, Protection Systems, Earthing and Bonding.
• Reviewing and accepting EMC and E&B design and implementation strategy on behalf of clients.
• Review and asses compliance with standards such as EC Directives, Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSIs), Railway Group Standards and other related standards such EN50121 for EMC.

Requirements for the role are:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Engineering knowledge and experience in Rail Power systems and EMC.
• Good interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively as part of a Multi-disciplined team.
• Ability to interface with railway domain specialists and company project managers, in a competent professional manner.
• Provide expert advice to clients in a professional and structured manner.
• Significant experience of EMC and Earthing and Bonding Management as applied to major railway infrastructure projects / technology development and implementation projects.
