Senior Geotechnical Engineer

£30,000 - £37,000 pa excellent benefits

Based in Nottingham. Birmingham or Manchester

Our client is a well established Consultancy whose professionalism and well respected name have been instrumental in their success.

They are currently looking for a strong Geotechnical Engineer to manage large complex projects. You will need to be technically independent and have strong communication skills with the ability to thrive in a growing and diverse engineering environment.

You will need:

Essential

• At least 4 years experience as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer and be looking for your next challenge.
• Experience of previously working with data compilation/assessment, reporting and geotechnical design
• You should be knowledgeable in Geotechnical software, ideally Geo 5.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Accept and thrive with new challenges
• A degree in Civil Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or Engineering Geology.
• Technical knowledge and capability as required for ground investigations, earthworks’ supervision.
• Experience of scoping managing and supervising ground investigations, earthworks, ground improvement and/or remediation projects.
• Ideally, experienced in compiling exploratory hole records and data manipulation with Holebase are vital.
• Proactive approach with drive, positivity and enthusiasm and a strong desire to succeed.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage resources to ensure efficient delivery of projects.
• Ability to deliver work and tasks on time and within budget with a strong focus on client care is essential, as is a willingness to travel. A full driving license is essential.

The Role:

• The role will be predominantly office-based work.
• The type of work that the Geotechnical section of Ground Solutions undertakes is extremely varied and challenging
• You will be given the responsibility for managing large complex projects as well as small specialist ones.
• You will be highly organised and technically independent, providing clear and regular communications with colleagues, Clients, and sub-contractors. The role will be focused on servicing both internal and external clients.
