ARM are working with a Global Engineering firm that are looking for a Senior Hardware Integration Engineer to join the experienced team in Chippenham. About You:
You will be an experienced Hardware Integration Engineer with a good understanding of RS232/422/485 communications, and network communications. You will ideally have experience addressing obsolescence issues with a rail supervision system, as well as:

• Integration of software systems with PC hardware platform
• Deployment of a system that utilises Windows 10/11, and Windows Server 2019
• Familiar with PC hardware
• Familiar with installing & configuring Operating System software (Windows 10/11 and Server)
• Preparation of design documentation using WORD and VISIO
• Managing and prioritisation of assigned activities
• Worked in a client facing role
• Familiar with Siemens WESTRACE interlocking
• Familiar with Westinghouse S2
• IRSE license
• Cyber security basic understanding
• Microsoft Server certification
• Wiring data cables, LV power cables

What you will be doing:
You will have a varied role, that involves supporting the build of a factory test rig, assembling small factory-based test rigs and non-standard data cables, preparing finalised rig documentation, coordination activities between the network design team and the signalling design team, providing hardware support to the R&D team on this project, preparing project documentation, liaising with our client on hardware issues, and investigation of hardware issues.

This opportunity is based in the Chippenham office, with opportunity for hybrid working.

What you can expect in return:
