We are looking for driven and enthusiastic people with demonstrable experience in capital expenditure projects – be that from a Rail, Highways, Civils or Infrastructure delivery background – with a desire and experience record going back ten years that demonstrates that they can deliver and add value in a technical and time-challenged dynamic environment. We would welcome applications from candidates who have or can demonstrate:

• Expert-level user of industry standard Planning software – P6, MSP, ASTA
• Ensure safe methodology is applied at the planning stage and ensure the most cost & time effective method is undertaken
• Ensure the plan and schedule is align with possession / shutdown / outage planning and access information, where applicable
• Produce meaningful outputs to gauge project / programme status and look-aheads for non-Planners
• Member of a relevant professional body with chartered status and/or educated to degree level.
• Able to coach and challenge management and non-specialists.
• Expert in complex schedule integration on large multidiscipline rail construction projects.
• Experience of leading planning teams to deliver a major infrastructure project.
• Technical planning expert to advanced level.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of Change Management and Earned Value Management processes.
• Experience of working in a senior management team and reporting at Director level.

With the following aspects being highly desired:

• Daily User of reporting, analytics and EVM / Cost software – e.g. Power BI, FUSE, Cobra or Qlikview
• Ability to develop and build a successful schedule from first principles using drawings / Scope of Work Documents / Works Information
• Comprehensive experience record in the successful delivery of major projects of work in the construction and/or infrastructure industries – i.e., Civils, Highways, Rail, Power, Construction or Nuclear – covering ten, plus years
• Demonstrable working knowledge and experience of structured project delivery, e.g. APM / PMI / PRINCE2
• Understanding of civils / mechanical design and construction methodologies and contractual mechanisms (NEC3/4, JCT, FIDIC)
• Knowledge of/experience in Alliancing
• KPIs/ Contract Milestone identification, allocation, and management
• Strong understanding of Risk Analysis and Management within the schedule
