Senior Rail Renewals Supervisor in Crewe, Cheshire, Crewe, United Kingdom
Our client, based in Crewe, is currently recruiting for a Senior Rail Renewals Supervisor on a permanent contract. Our client is proud to be a leading international infrastructure group with a diverse and inclusive workforce.
The position is due to start on notice on a full time basis. The salary rate is negotiable based on experience for these positions.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in Permanent Way maintenance/track renewals at least performing at Site Supervisors level as well as in depth knowledge of Track Renewals discipline.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
- Oversee detailed planning and execution of Track Renewals Works as allocated by the Renewals Manager
- Plan and direct the activities of Site Supervisors and track staff and ensure agreed performance and other KRA’s are met
- Hold Whiteboard / Stage Gate meetings in accordance with CRSA Track Renewals Procedure producing the required outputs to support effective and robust delivery of the works to completion
- Ensure compliance with Contract allowables for all works as well as all relevant Safety Legislation and Welfare Regulations
- Ensure all works undertaken comply with contract specifications and Network Rail Group and Line Standards and that all works are undertaken by competent staff
- Ensure all staff have the necessary skills and are competent to undertake all duties safely, efficiently and to Contract Specification
- Assist with the provision of technical support to the Senior Engineer, Senior Supervisor and Renewals Manager
- Support the Senior Renewals Manager in delivering the Alliance Programme as required
- Assist with the provision of technical and delivery support to the Track and Drainage Senior Engineer, Senior Supervisor and Renewals Manager Team as required
- Deliver Duty Management and ‘On Call’ as required
- Ensure maximum utilisation of resources in delivery of all works
Experience, knowledge and expertise required:
- Strong knowledge of financial controls and of all aspects of Track Renewals Disciplines
- Excellent knowledge of Rules & Regulations, H.A.S.A.W and other appropriate regulations
- Excellent knowledge of both group and line standards and in depth knowledge of all aspects of track renewals disciplines
- HNC in an Engineering discipline or working towards
- Good IT skills
- Full UK Driving License
- PTS and COSS
