We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our Client as an experienced Tailings Engineer for some of the largest projects in Europe. The role focuses on developing expertise in Tailings, aligning with the Global Industry Standard for Tailings Management (GISTM). We are actively looking for candidates from both Scandinavia and internationally who are committed to making a long-term impact in this market.

Position: Senior Tailings Engineer / Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Designing tailings dams, associated water dams or related
• Participating in stability analysis and tailings dam design at major Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs)
• Developing methods and routines to align with the new GISTM standard
• Monitoring and reviewing construction activities
• Providing tender and bid support
• Advising clients on safety and risk
• Report writing
• Mentoring and upskilling engineers within the organization and client entities

Key Interfaces:

• Direct report to the Team Leader of the Tailings team
• Working as a technical lead within a team of engineers managing TSFs in the region

Qualifications:

• Background in Dams and Tailings Design
• Experience at all project stages, including pre-feasibility, feasibility, detailed design, and construction
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience
• In-depth knowledge of GISTM
• MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field
• Consultative and innovative problem-solving approach

• Occasional site visits may be required
• Willingness to travel overseas when necessary
• Predominantly remote work, with proximity to regional offices where possible
