Are you currently a graduate or assistant transport planner in the Newcastle region? This major client is looking for a Transport Planner to join them on a permanent, full-time basis to support local and national level projects. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of multi-million pound projects across public and private sectors.

In your position, your general duties will be to assist in traffic & transport studies and develop local, regional and national level transport policies and strategies.

You will be involved in these procedures:

-          Active Travel Routes
-          Transport Policy Documents
-          WebTAF and WelTAG assessments
-          Transport Assessments & Travel Plans

Job Description:

-          Promote, develop and expand Active Travel Routes

-          Produce local, regional and national transport policy documents to support improvements of transport networks

-          Plan and design interchanges for public transport

-          Produce WebTAG and WelTAG assessments for economic, social and environmental impacts of projects

-          Develop Transport Assessments & Travel Plans for planning applications

-          Deliver public consultation events

-          Masterplanning reports to support public sector urban regeneration schemes

-          Have excellent communication skills and problem solving skills

-          Be able to convey ideas to a non-technical audience

This is a permanent position with a major consultancy who are looking for a transport planner on a full-time, permanent basis to join their team in Newcastle. This position offers significant WFH flexibility, so candidates can be based in regions further afield.
