My client, a global leading engineering and technologies organization, is currently looking for a skilled and technically sound, Manufacturing Engineer to assist the consumables department in providing technical support where necessary.
Start Date: ASAP Duration:
Approximate 5-Month Contract
Your responsibilities will consist of:
- Holding responsibility for the successful operation and maintenance of the pouch reactors, pouch fillers, and associated equipment.
- Ensuring supplies are maintained of appropriate spares expected to be required during routine operation of the Pouch reactors, bag fillers, and associated equipment. (This to also be true for all wet reagent filling lines).
- Organizing and assisting with routine equipment maintenance, in accordance with their supplier’s recommendations and scope of service contracts on the major capital equipment within the area.
- Ensuring complete compliance with the M&C system requirements and due dates. Applies to Reagents, UDC and Pouches.
- QMS - Update of operating procedures for equipment within the area if required. To ensure equipment validation requirements are up to date and not compromised by subsequent maintenance or repair.
- Working with Quality group to successfully plan and complete equipment validations as and when required.
- Assisting CIP teams that drive productivity improvements within relevant production cells, whilst working closely with the Continuous Improvement department to gain insight into tools and techniques to improve effectiveness and timescales of projects.
- To comply with and support the Health, Safety and Environment statements, policies and procedures as well as ensuring that all H&S audits are carried out accordingly as well as annual assessments.
- To investigate any EHS incident raised within the area to drive to a Zero Harm culture
The ideal candidate would have:
- Flexibility/Availability for out of hours call out during weekdays and weekends (Arranged on a rota basis).
- A strong production equipment and engineering background. DI water plants, steam generaters, and pouch filling equipment experience would be advantageous.
- Demonstrate an influential, consultative and flexible communication style.
- The capability of operating and liaising at all levels, including managerial, project and technical levels.
- Minimum engineering qualification - HNC, NVQ 5 or equivalent. Computer literate, Excel.
