Marketing Executive in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom

My client is a specialist in the delivery of innovative technology solutions and services within the railway infrastructure. An opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Executive to work alongside the Product Marketing and Comms Manager to support the roll-out of product and service launch activities as well as develop the company's brand and build relationships with key media contact.

Key responsibilities:
  • Creating a regular email marketing schedule that seeks to raise awareness of business capabilities within key customer groups. You will be able to effectively coordinate content and execute email campaigns.
  • Managing and maintaining regular output on company social media channels to promote key activities and achievements. You will be able to build a content calendar and work with stakeholders to create your content.
  • Writing engaging content for company websites that informs, educates, and converts. You will be able to write compelling copy with a high degree of accuracy and work with content management systems.
  • Drafting company press releases to promote both companies to the wider industry. You will be confident in building relationships with key media contacts to maximise distribution and awareness opportunities.
  • Helping to develop internal communications that keep your colleagues informed of important business updates and successes. You will be proactive in working with colleagues to deliver timely updates.
  • Helping to develop the company brand and tone of voice guidelines. You will have experience working with guidelines and have a desire for consistent communications.
  • Analysing data from campaigns and communications to ensure continuous improvement. You will be confident reporting on key metrics and tracking performance.
  • Supporting the delivery of a customer insights programme in close co-ordination with the Project and Sales Teams. You will have experience of using survey tools.
  • Working with the Product Marketing and Comms Manager to support the roll-out of product and service launch activities.
  • Assisting bid and sales activities on an ad-hoc basis to support growth. You will demonstrate a can-do, team player attitude.


Education level and/or relevant experience(s)

  • Minimum 3 years work experience in a marketing role, ideally in a B2B environment
  • Marketing qualification desired but not essential
  • Some relevant industry experience would be an advantage, for example from within rail sector but candidates could successfully transition from other B2B sectors
  • Ability to write highly accurate, engaging content


Knowledge and skills - Candidate demonstrates:

  • Experience using content management systems, email marketing tools and social media platforms
  • Building good internal and external relationships to support the creation of content
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex information
  • Willingness and ability to manage workload
