Mechanical Certification Engineer
Purpose of the Job
A site-based Mechanical Testing and Commissioning certification specialist is required to support the Employer in delivering the Mechanical Testing and Commissioning certification for Bond Street Station.
They will plan, coordinate, monitor and direct all certification to ensure the systems are assured and certification is reviewed, and comments closed in line with Programme delivery dates.
Principal Accountabilities
Supporting the T&C Delivery Manager in developing and leading the implementation of certification requirements including.
Oversee the Tier 1 structure and correlation of construction, installation, and commissioning certification (Package Breakdown Structure).
Preparing construction records packs, reviewing them prior to Cert Manager Submission
Complete Package Listings contents for allocated packages, to review with delivery team.
Process Sub/Construction Certificates through to submission.
Ensure packages are submitted on time. Rev 1 Code 1 submission to be maintained
Undertake Quality Surveillance (8 per period min). Email results to the company for including in Observation Reporting. Raise NCR for any shortcomings
Ensure all identified PTRs are recorded on eB by engineers and progressed
Quality lead for allocated subcontract packages. Co-ordinate with other CEs for common strategy
Check the PTRs on the RLD match with the Package listings

Main challenges of the job
- Coordinating the works around the many interfaces in the station and the operational railway
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with all the key stakeholders
- Adapting the standard contract delivery principals to account for evolving project delivery strategy
Person Specification
- Appropriate experience working for a client organisation on a major multi-discipline infrastructure project.
- Proven experience of successfully delivering certification and record packages for a Contracting Organisation involving civil, architectural fit-out, Mechanical and Electrical works.
- Ability to plan, organise and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to their successful conclusion.
- Strong personality with ability to enforce certification requirements. • Proactive in resolving problems and project delivery oriented • Ability to prioritize work in a high- pressure environment • Enthusiastic team player, excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Experience across LUL, Network Rail, Crossrail • Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, SharePoint). • Relevant CSCS Card
- Able to demonstrate the application of governance utilising business systems and construction processes that develop a result driven culture of excellence throughout the project team.
- Good Technical knowledge and experience of Testing & commissioning structures for Mechanical, BMS Systems.
