We are currently looking for a Mechanical fitter Chargehand to join HS2 project in Kingsbury, towards Tamworth.

Job duties:

- Overseeing mechanical fitters onsite

- Applies of RAMS for the installation and maintenance of cranes and specialist mechanical / electrical precast yard and Viaduct plant

- Be able to work as a team with other fitters, welders, electricians and S/C technicians

- Possibility of stepping in when required to help mechanical fitters with their daily duties ie carrying out testing, servicing, and repairs of plant and equipment in an organised and professional manner

- Delivering toolbox talks and morning briefings

- Flexible with time to work out of normal hours and some weekends

The following experience/ skills are essential:

• Previous experience in plant and equipment maintenance
• CSCS card
• Driving licence
• SSSTS or above
• Previous experience in overseeing cranes and concrete equipment maintenance.
• Previous experience in overseeing cranes erection and dismantling, a bonus.
• Mechanical plant trades certificate (beneficial)
• IPAF Card, ideally 3A+3B (beneficial)

Rate: £21.89 ph PAYE

Working hours: Mon - Fri 7:30am - 5.30pm (1 hour break each day)

Start date: 15/08/2022

Overtimes:

During the week - over 10 hours - time and a third

Weekends - time and a half

Benefits: 30 days holidays per annum, pension scheme on auto-enrollment basis

Successful candidate would need to pass drug and alcohol test and provide a valid proof of right to work in the UK.
