Job title: Mechanical Engineer (Bus, PCV, HGV)
Job location: Oxfordshire
Salary: £40k - £45k + benefits (permanent nights)
Key Responsibilities
*You will inspect the work carried out by technicians on the night shift to ensure the quality of engineering and vehicle availability.
*Maintaining company vehicles including vans, buses and coaches. Including fault finding, diagnostics and repair.
*Maintain documentation in relation to company vehicles.
*You will ensure compliance to company and DfT standards including VOSA.
Person Profile
*Must have demonstrable knowledge of engineering for heavy vehicles - either HGV or PCV.
*Minimum of level 3 engineering qualifications - BTEC/C&G/NVQ or advanced apprenticeship in relevant field.
*It will be beneficial if you have a heavy goods or PSV license for the purpose of road testing vehicles.
Skills
*Ideally mechanically biased, but will consider other disciplines especially with broad engineering exposure for automotive or heavy vehicle engineering.
*Strong team player and good communication skills are essential.
*Ability to use engineering principles and interpret and meet technical standards.
