My client a tier 1 civil engineering contractor are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Site Manager to join their team on a permanent basis in Central London. The chosen candidate will be part of the MEP team working on a major station upgrade, reporting into a MEP Project Manager and managing a the mechanical subcontractor each day.
The ideal candidate will be required to get on site and manage the guys working too. Ideally you will have an SMSTS or SSSTS.
Not only will you be working on a contract for the next 2 years but there is already a major project lined up to move onto after August 2022.
Please, do not apply if you do not have experience as an Mechanical Engineer within rail.

Roles and responsibilities:
- Procurement of materials and assurance to the specific design
- Help monitor the work on site
- Managing subcontractors
- Cost checking against order design approval
- Operate and promote a high standard of health and safety and environment compliance
- Help assist completion of paper works including work package plans and inspection and test plans
- Raise technical queries
- Degree qualified in Mechanical or equivalent
- Experience working with a recognised M&E contractor
- Knowledge of the rail environment
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- A valid CSCS card
