Job Title: Mechanical Fitter – Rolling Stock / Railway

The Company

Our client is a World-Famous specialist in the modification, overhaul and servicing of Rolling Stock and look after a variety of well-known clients throughout the country. Employing well over 150 people in the UK they are winning work like there’s no tomorrow and have contracts to carry out long term servicing and exam work as well as a whole host of mods. The time has come to welcome some additional, experienced personnel to this traditional company to enable them to fulfil their contracts.

This overhauls project will see you focus on mechanical aspect of the work which involves overhauls, maintenance, repairs, inspections and new installations to the bogies, underframes, wheel sets, brakes and all other heavy mechanical components. Time is key as the project will be moving at a fast pace which will require deadlines to be met.

What do I need to be considered for this contract?

It’s as simple as this…to join the team, you will be an experienced mechanical fitter with experience of working on rolling stock or a similar role within rolling stock, forces, army, navy, aerospace etc… and hold a level 3 engineering qualification and be able to demonstrate your skills to a high standard.

When joining this project as a mechanical fitter you will be rewarded with an hourly rate of £17 per hour, 40 hours per week with contracted hours across a 2x shift pattern of earlies & lates or standard hours with overtime being available on a 6 month initial contract with opportunities to move on to new projects in the future.
