Mechanical Package Engineer in South West London, London, United Kingdom
Randstad are currently seeking a Mechanical Package Engineer to join a tier 1 contractor on a major project in South West London.
Your Role: As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our major project based in South West London. Working alongside a dedicated team of engineers and industry specialists, you will apply your expertise to design, develop, and implement mechanical systems within the water environment. From conceptualisation to installation and ongoing maintenance, your skills will be instrumental in ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery specific to the water industry.
- Conducting thorough feasibility studies, technical assessments, and risk analyses.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into overall project plans.
- Overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting system performance, conducting regular inspections, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies.
- Providing technical guidance and support to project stakeholders, including contractors and clients.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering within the water industry, ideally working on large-scale projects.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery used in the water environment.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as CAD and simulation software.
- Strong analytic skills with the ability to conduct technical assessments and solve complex problems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within a team and liaise with stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards.
