Our client is a well-known defence and space company who has made a name for themselves as a leading manufacturer of satellites, communications and data analysis. They have been heavily involved with the build of several satellite programs and now have an exciting opportunity for exceptional candidates.

The Candidate:

Looking for a contract that will be talked about globally and for years to come? Looks like you are in luck today! Our client is hiring for Mechanical Engineers with a very strong background in satellites, spacecraft and writing build documentation.

The Role:

As a Mechanical Engineer you will be working alongside Electrical Engineers, you will be building the ExoMars (Rover) for it to stay on Mars for a duration of 7 months, collecting samples to determine whether there is life on Mars. You will be tasked with preparing documents for the production phases, including work instructions and procedures, support spacecraft launch activities at launch site including handling and coordination of mechanical ground support equipment (MGSE). Testing – environmental, thermal, vibration, payload deployment and shock.

Requirements:

To be considered for the role of Mechanical Satellite Engineer you must hold a HNC or higher (they will accept a lower qualification if you have performed similar duties before. A SPACE / AEROSPACE / SATELLITE BACKGROUND IS A MUST so do not apply unless you have at least 6 months experience in the disciplines mentioned previously.

Rate of pay: £28 per hour + shift uplift if applicable (2 x day shifts) and 2 x 4on/4off rotating early and late shifts. Min 37 hours per week
