AIW - Short Term Planner

Purpose of the role
• To manage the plan at DPPP to delivery. • To co-ordinate all CVL planning requirements to ensure delivery of the works are undertaken. • To co-ordinate all critical resources for the contract programme. • To manage the development and maintenance of a deliverable programme. • Report Critical activities for the planning and delivery element of the contract. • Manage all Direct Reports.About the role
• Plan the delivery of the CVL programme from DPPP • Support the delivery team in all planning matters. • Report critical activities for CVL. • Interface with all other sectional heads within the Infrastructure Management CVL • Ensure information flow between sections of the Planning team. • Ensure the planning program has live information. • Liaise with Network Rail Planning team as required. • Manage and direct the team to deliver the programme from DPPP to hand back. • Manage systems for track access and other logistical issues, including interfaces with other projects and suppliers. • Identify variations to the programme and works. • Train and assist with the development of other members of planning team. • Develop and maintain project planning procedures. • Review all key project documents which contain a planning/programme element. • Authorise/manage and distribute the updating/amended planning job sheets and changes captured on the box plan. • Ensure lessons learnt and best practice shared across the project. • Develop and maintain a system for sharing planning and logistics data within delivery offices. • Ensure change control management within the teamWhat we are looking for
Essential: • Be fully experienced in all aspect’s infrastructure access planning. • Have excellent communication skills. • Have experience and knowledge of PPS Planning systems in the railway environment. • The ability to interface with the many disciplines involved in the delivery of the works. Desirable: • Knowledge of and experience in rail industry processes. • Experience and knowledge of planning for permanent Way, Signalling and general civils.About Amey
