As Master Supply Partner, we are proud to be working solely in partnership with the UK arm of this leading international and multidisciplinary infrastructure construction company, specialising in the development and delivery of key infrastructure projects across the globe such as railway construction and systems, roads, tunnelling and fibre optic networks.
Having worked on a number of the UK's most prestigious Major Projects and Alliance Partnerships, they are currently focusing on the funding, design and construction of fibre networks in the UK, and are growing 3 UK regional hubs.
As the regional/project Accountant, you will work closely with the regional Commercial Team and Head Office Finance & Accounting Team, playing a key role ensuring ensure all invoices and payments are accounted for, and producing monthly budget and finance reports for the region and projects.
Key responsibilities will include, with training and development provided where required:
- Produce monthly finance, payment and budget reports as required for the region and projects
- Requesting statement of account from suppliers
- Reconcile supplier statement of account to supplier account internal record to ensure all invoices and payments are accounted for and accurately posted
- Ensure hard copies of invoices are stamped and filed
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries
- Receive, verify, and process expenses
- Liaise with commercial and other staff to obtain the correct coding (by understanding cost centres) for supplier invoices
- Verify subcontractors for CIS
- Ensure credit invoices are issued by suppliers whenever they are due
- Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
- Maintain vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Summarise payment requirements of supplier portfolios in compliance with company financial policies and procedures
- Understand compliance issues around accounts payable processes
- Liaising with HMRC
As the ideal candidate your knowledge and qualifications will include:
- Qualified to Degree level in Finance and Accounting, or equivalent qualification and experience
- Hold AAT qualifications and advantage
- Experience processing invoices, credit control, raising statements of accounts and reconciliation on a weekly basis for their supplier accounts
- Understanding of reverse VAT
- Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
- Strong time management and organisational skills
