Our client currently has requirements for 3 x Arborists to join their rail team in South Wales on a long-term contract basis.

The main purpose of the role is the safe removal and clearance of vegetation and trees on and off the tracks (Railway).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delivery of all elements of forestry works.
• Considering occupational and environmental risks to members of the workforce and public and raise to the Supervisor accordingly.
• Ensuring a good knowledge of H&S in all elements of site delivery
• Ensuring a good understanding of tree identification
• Carrying out a complete risk assessment to a high standard
• Briefing out risk assessments confidently.
• Attending client meetings as required.
• Supporting, managing, and giving direction to site teams as necessary.
• Attending reviews, updates, and organisational meetings as and when required.
• Undertaking all other duties as reasonably required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Experience as an Arborist in a rail environment
• Hold NPTC CS30 and CS31 and NPTC Chipper qualifications
• Personal Track Safety (PTS)
• Recent experience as an Operative in vegetation in a railway environment
