The Opportunity

The role of Asset Maintenance Engineer will see you designing the maintenance for rolling stock fleets, starting with the concept and following this through to the point of operational implementation. You will be ensuring that this is then incorporated into both RAMS plans and supplier specifications and then adapting your plans based on fleet performance to ensure day-to-day fleet operations run as smoothly as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to work on new fleet introduction and will give the right candidate an exciting challenge and experience.

Location: This position is based out of the client's Doncaster office.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Designing maintenance programmes and design justifications to comply with industry standards
• Reviewing fleet performance reports at a system level and using that information to influence maintenance plans and justify future design changes
• Identifying risk areas that could affect reliability and performance
• Recommend maintenance activities based on the root cause analysis of defects
• Organising and taking part in RCM workshops
• Working closely with other engineering teams, especially RAMS

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of working in a rolling stock maintenance depot and will be fully familiar with maintenance management systems relating to reliability and availability having undertaken fleet reliability improvement or modification activities yourself. You should hold a relevant qualification in engineering and candidates with a degree or other qualifications plus suitable experience will be considered.

Any RCM2 trained facilitator with rolling stock experience will be immediately considered, however this is not an essential requirement.
