We are currently dealing with an ever-growing engineering consultancy who are looking to hire an Associate Director to join and run a team of building structural engineers. As the Associate Structural Engineer, you will be tasked with mentoring junior engineers and running a team of up to 10 people.  You will also be able to offer full support to the MD in the running of the office from a commercial and business development perspective.

Within the role you be involved in running varied projects which can include Basement Design, Temporary Works, Loft Conversions, and high end internal re fits, which will be mainly on the high end Residential Refurb, and new build Care Homes. The said consultancy are also growing into new build commercial works so offer varied workload.

Essentially, we are looking for a Structural Engineer who wants to take on responsibility on projects, staff and for new business looking to drive this business forward. This means it could be a perfect role for an ambitious Principal Building Structural Engineer who is looking to take that next step up, or alternatively an Associate or Structural Director looking for a new challenge.

Job Requirements

• Chartered Structural Engineer
• Minimum 8 years relevant UK experience
• Experienced in acting as the Lead Engineer managing a team
• Ideally some business development experience

The salary is a broad range and is dependent on business development/client book the relevant candidate can bring along with the technical experience.
