Job Summary
AECOM is seeking an experienced Associate Director. As an Associate Director you will work within a team who provides feasibility studies, scheme designs, detailed designs, assessments, inspections, construction support and management services on a wide range of rail civils projects such as bridge works, station schemes, route upgrades, and multi-disciplinary rail projects.
Job Duties:

Undertake and project-manage rail civil engineering schemes from feasibility through to detailed design.

Responsible for production through to client sign off of Technical Approval documentation.

Analysis and detailed design of rail infrastructure such as bridges, stations , gantry structures.

Inspection, assessment and strengthening of rail bridges and other structures.

Client liaison and the production of tenders, including quality documentation and costings.

Project Management including programme and resource monitoring, quality control, technical management and delivery.

Mentoring graduate engineers in their progress to Chartership acting as Delegated Engineer or Supervising Civil Engineer.

Lead the local office team with accountability for project performance, utilisation, training and bidding.

Provide input to proposals from developing fees to preparation of supporting methodologies.
Minimum Requirements
-
Proven design and project management experience delivering to quality, time and budget.

Significant experience of leading project teams, including major project multidisciplinary teams, developing a range of rail civils schemes such as stations or route upgrades from initial concept through to detailed design for implementation.

Experience with bridge/ station structures and related structural inspection assessment and design schemes.

Proven design and project management experience delivering to quality, time and budget.

Significant experience in rail infrastructure projects.

Previous exposure with clients, in particular Network Rail, Transport for London or other transport authorities, together with major contractors.
Preferred Qualifications

Degree educated or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Civil or Structural Engineering.

A Chartered Engineer with ICE.
