Associate Director
Are you looking for a permanent role with a company who are one of the world's leading physical assets management and construction consultancy? We are searching for an associate director to join our infrastructure-based project and programme management team, to grow our infrastructure business in the north of England.
The role itself:
- Permanent
- Location, Leeds or Manchester
- Growing and developing project management and planning/controls team in the North of England, working out of Leeds or Manchester offices
- Supporting the team on current commissions
- Formulating and implementing growth plans in consultation with other senior team members
- Managing the recruitment, supervision and development of staff
- Proactively marketing the company locally and nationally across all sectors, developing new business and clients in line with strategic objectives
- Leading and participating in bid winning, including drafting proposals and attending key industry events
- Implementing and monitoring relevant administrative systems as well as championing standards for customer care
- Managing team administration, ensuring that facilities and working practices follow company guidelines
- Undertaking responsibility for compliance with the company's health and safety policy and other relevant policies
What do you need?
- Significant infrastructure sector experience essential
- Local to Manchester-Leeds axis desirable
- Minimum of 10 years managing clients and projects in a consultancy environment
- Technical qualification(s) in a built environment-related discipline essential
- Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE, APM, RICS) essential
- Extensive technical delivery experience and experience of leading professional teams
- Experience and working knowledge of infrastructure processes, procedures and proprietary systems
- PMO and project controls leadership experience desirable
- Knowledge of the national market place for infrastructure consultancy services
- Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills
- Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, and willing to work in a mutually supportive environment
- A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
