Associate Transport Planner

We are currently dealing with a leading Transport and Infrastructure firm, looking for an Associate Transport Planner to join their team in Leeds.
In the role, you will manage and mentor junior staff in a variety of projects, and you will be required to have previous experience in Senior positions in the planning and transportation sector.
As an Associate Transport Planner, you will lead the process of securing planning permission for a range of projects. You will often be expected to manage numerous projects at once, and they can vary in terms of scale and nature, creating an original work experience. You will also lead teams in establishing Transport Assessments and provide advice on schemes. During projects, you must manage and assert resources to provide efficient usage of budgets, as well as produce fee proposals for business and client development.
Furthermore, you must have excellent Client relationship skills, project management, and business development skills.
Job Spec:
- Extensive experience of transport planning at senior levels
- Undertake transport assessments and transport strategies
- Create and manage new clients and further business develop
- Knowledge of highway and junction design, traffic and modelling software, and traffic management schemes
- Knowledge of Highways Agency and Local Authority design procedures
- Excellent communication skills to work in conjuncture with a team or individually
