Construction Manager (OLE)

6 Months Contract

My client currently has an opportunity for Construction Manager (OLE), to be a part of their team. Based out of Glasgow with a background in having worked on OLE projects with a good understanding of OLE projects. You will be primarily working on the infrastructure Projects. including new structures over and adjacent to the railway. The third parties will be working within multi-disciplinary schemes. You will have a good understanding of multidisciplinary projects. You will report to the Senior Construction Manager.

Key Responsibilities: -

As the Construction Manager your key responsibility will be to carry out direct supervision on site. You will liaise with possession planning department and ensure adequate access is available for the planned works. To assist in the planning of future projects, including input into tender support, resource planning. You will monitor installation, modification of railway Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) equipment in accordance with Network Rail Standards and in accordance with the Design.

Key Skills, Experience:-

You will be or will have a background of having worked as a Construction Manager on OLE projects.

Must have construction experience of Railway Electrification system

You will have experience as a civils Construction Management.

You will have a good understanding of OLE design and construction

You will be experienced in leading and to motivate contractors.

You will liaise with internal and external parties with regards to the project.

You will work in accordance to HSQE regulations

Ability to problem solve, face customers and manage people

Excellent communication skills

Qualifications Required:-

Must have construction experience of Railway Electrification system

A Formal qualification in Construction management or equivalent

Technical / Engineering NVQ level 4, BTec level 3

PTS

OLE (qualification although not essential)
