Overview
Linbrooke Services provide high quality Telecommunications, Civil, Power and Minor Civil Engineering solutions to the Rail Industry. The purpose of this role is to lead the engineering delivery and to manage the site activities of the civil engineering elements of projects to ensure adherence to specification matched to delivery within timescale and budget.
Main duties
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Delivery Manager to join our dynamic Civils team within the Rail division.
Acting as the CRE for rail projects, you will be responsible for ensuring adequate project design information is available to Engineers and brief site managers on agreed timescales and budget constraints.
You will liaise with and assist project managers and site managers to identify project requirements whilst managing client expectations.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Manage, support and motivate Site Managers/Supervisors.
- Support and mentor Design Managers in delivery and development of their respective roles.
- Undertake duties on behalf of the Head of Construction as delegated.
- Support and engage Linbrooke Resourcing and other business streams with a collaborative working approach.
- Carry out monthly management tour/audit, ensure Linbrooke are compliant with and understand Networks Rail POS regulations
- Understand project specific requirements for On Track Plant
- Show competence in assessing, planning, coordinating and carrying out risk assessments for ALO processes
- Provide Bids and Tenders support
- Manage Key Milestones Board in Civils Office, relative to your projects.
Skills, Qualifications and Competence
- ALO Responsible Manager Trained
- Awareness of the Network Rail POS roll out briefing,
- Must have minimum 5 years experience of working with construction plant both OTP and standard construction plant.
- Conversant with CDM Regulations
- Understanding of Machine Controller and COSS duties.
- Proven ability to understand technical information
