Summary/Objective
The Estimator generates all information required for a bid to be submitted to our customers and ensures the business can support the scope tendered for.
Essential Functions

1.Analyse the customers requirements to identify if we are process capable and request support where needed
2.Establish accurate labour costs and share them with relevant stakeholders
3.Obtain raw material and subcontractors costs either directly from suppliers, through the procurement team or from the ERP system
4.Compile estimates and bids based on all data gathered
5.Maintain consistent and reliable data for all bids
6.Calculate costs associated with changes to design
7.Generate KPIs as required by the organisation
8.Produce risk management and commercial terms for bids
9.Ensure bids are signed and approved and viewed by relevant stakeholders
10.Prioritise outstanding enquiries in a way to promote customer satisfaction
11.Any other ad hoc duties as required by the business

Responsible to support the development of assistants, apprentices and other ancillary roles.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard equipment such as computers, phones, printers/photocopiers.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a senior leader to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; speaking, listening, mobility to navigate customer, supplier and other offices and manufacturing sites, use of phone and computer technology.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, minimum 37 hours/week position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 07:20 to 15:50 and Friday 07:20 to 12:20 but flexibility in hours is allowed in order to meet business requirements.
Travel
Travel is not expected regularly but may be required occasionally to meet business requirements.
