An opportunity has arisen for an expereince, enthusiastic and self-motivated Estimator to produce high-quality, commercially viable, work winning tender bids delivered to a well-managed programme in accordance with the tendering procedure and submitted on time.

The sucessful candiate will have a Rail AND Civil background.

• Manage tender from allocation through to award of contract, including effectively managing multiple tenders at any one time.
• Compile tenders in accordance with defined company procedures.
• Identify critical interim deadlines that will impact effective tender completion and manage workload to suit.
• Populate accurate information on the tender database.
• Assess client documentation and use to develop a work winning strategy.
• Own the entire bid.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that the best input is used within each bid.
• Capitalise on opportunities for innovation, efficiencies and alternatives.
• Accurately assess the optimum net cost of projects with a full understanding of the associated risks and opportunities documented.
• Ensure the bid reflects a challenged and agreed programme.
• Conduct site meetings.
• Prepare TQs and send to the client to seek clarification.
• Engage with our clients and build relationships to be seen as their first choice bidder.
• Maximise opportunities to translate early contractor involvement activity into single-source bidding.
• Prepare post tender interview presentations.
• Seek client tender feedback and respond accordingly.
• Produce tender handover presentations to fully inform the project team.
